NomADE: Network of Macro-economists for Aid and Development Economics
In November 2006, ADE created the Network of Macro-economists for Aid and Development Economics (), bringing together permanent ADE staff and top-level experts in the fields of public finance, macroeconomic and sectoral policies. These experts share the same vision of the role and commitment of consultants towards their clients. The network facilitates the elaboration of cutting-edge approaches and instruments, the delivery of services of the highest possible quality and the accumulation of technical competencies.
The main event of the network is a one day workshop organized every year to capitalize the experience and to think towards innovative approaches and instruments. Various themes have been addressed in the last years:
- The evaluation of Budget Support programmes (view related document)
- Budget Support: potential and limits of the instrument for supporting reforms/policies (view related document)
- The implementation conditions of result-oriented and program-approach based PFM reforms (view related document)
- PFM reforms and the PEFA Performance Measurement framework (view related document)
- Budget Support (view related document)
In 2013, 27 experts participated to a workshop that focused on the harmonization process of the PFM framework in the Members States of the WAEMU and the CEMAC:
- Daouda Kamano (Dakar Pole) talked about the harmonization process of the PFM framework from a regional (WAEMU and CEMAC) point of view. You can view the slides of his presentation by clicking here.
- Cyrill Edou Alo'o (Ministry of Finance of Cameroon) talked about the harmonization process of the PFM framework from a national (Cameroon) point of view. You can view the slides of his presentation by clicking here.
- Vincent de Paul Yameogo (Ministry of Economy and Finance of Burkina Faso) talked about the harmonization of the PFM framework from a national (Burkina Faso) point of view. You can view the slides of his presentation by clicking here.
These workshops give the participants a chance to examine hot topics in the field of macroeconomic support and aid modalities. The members of NomADE have priority to participate, but the workshop is also open to other interested experts working with ADE who send their application.
