The evaluation covered humanitarian interventions in India and Nepal during the period 2013-2017 funded by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO). It includes the different sectors in which support was provided, notably Shelter/Non-Food Items (NFIs); Water and Sanitation; Health; Food Assistance; Protection; Recovery and Disaster Risk Reduction.

The evaluation was carried out in Nepal when earthquake recovery operations were phasing out and in India when the government questioned international actors’ presence in areas of civil strife.
