Theory based evaluation combining both qualitative and quantitative methods (‘mixed methods’) is used to estimate the attributable effects on target beneficiaries and the overall impact of 4 projects.

Those projects are from 4 NGOs: TRIAS, Iles de paix, Vreideseilanden and M3M. They relate to a variety of sectors: health, agriculture/breeding and water.

This Impact Evaluation follows the former Impact Evaluation made by ADE concerning 4 projects of the Belgian governmental cooperation (published in October 2013). This new study also aims at drawing lessons on the feasibility and value for money of this kind of mixed-methods Impact Evaluation in the NGO sector.
