ECHO has contracted ADE to undertake a strategic evaluation on its use of different “transfer modalities” in its humanitarian actions from 2011 to 2014.

The evaluation will cover 3 transfer modalities: cash transfers, vouchers and in-kind contributions. The evaluation will cover humanitarian aid in food assistance and nutrition, and also in other sectors such as WASH, health, shelter and Disaster Risk Reduction.

The evaluation will help define a future ECHO strategy for its use of these three transfer modalities. It will also identify possible measures to improve their use
