ADE carried out a baseline study as part of Enabel's Basic Education initiative to measure the baseline values of Enabel's indicators. The Basic Education interventions, deployed in the provinces of Sud-Ubangi, Kasaï-Oriental and Haut-Katanga, specifically aim to improve access, retention and completion of eight years of quality basic education for all. ADE has: i) revised and did the QA for the indicator sheets, ii) designed and organised the data collection methodology based on the indicator sheets developed in collaboration with Enabel, iii) collected data through surveys in schools in the three intervention provinces with the help of its partner RISD, iv) processed and analysed the data collected, and v) updated the M&E framework for the project indicators and vi) produced a report presenting the baseline situation for the Basic Education initiative. This will serve as a basis for measuring the progress and effects of the intervention's activities during its implementation.
