EVALUATION OF THE EUROPEAN UNION'S COOPERATION WITH THE WORLD BANK 2014 – 2021
The Directorates Generals for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) and for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission commissioned ADE to conduct an "Evaluation of the EU cooperation with the World Bank Group (WBG)” during the period 2014-2021.
The evaluation focuses on the EU cooperation with the WBG as an aid modality. The cooperation framework and mechanisms/methods for the implementation and delivery of the support including the visibility and communication of EU funding, are at the epicentre of the evaluation. All EU funding including non-spending activities, such as political dialogue, policy dialogue and technical support, are covered.
The evaluation studies both the mechanisms for actual implementation and delivery of support, including the visibility and communication of EU funding, and how effective and efficient it was, and the mechanisms for policy dialogue, programming and cooperation.
The evaluation focuses on the 5 priority fields of action of the Commission: Green Deal, Transition to a new digital era, Sustainable economic and human and social development, Peace, security and governance, Migration and forced displacement.
It targets major and/or strategic programmes under implementation during the assessment period.
