Governing multifunctional landscapes in Sub-Saharan Africa: managing trade-offs between social and ecological impacts (Titre: EU-CIFOR FLEGT M&E)
The objective of this project is to continue the work in progress on building an impact monitoring and evaluation system for the EU-FLEGT Action Plan 2017 based on a well-designed global Theory of Change, a database system to regularly compile and manage indicator information and the development of a reporting protocol drawing on this data. This project intends to contribute to the development of a protocol for conducting robust ex-ante and ex-post assessments. It also provides FLEGT Facility partners, the EU FLEGT management team and external knowledge partners a framework that will enable data driven reflection and adaptive management drawing on the project outputs.
The project includes the following steps:
•Elaboration of an appropriate methodological approach to demonstrate attribution (contribution) of FLEGT activities to global impact
•Creation and presentation of a preliminary interactive dashboard
•Design and consolidation of a global database including relevant variables
•Creation of EU-FLEGT M&E indicators database and related complete dashboard
•Construction of baseline measures and preparation of guidelines for future projects and assessment work on FLEGT
•Demo, presentation and discussion of the M&E system
•M&E system design and Dashboard tool revision and finalization
