Technical Assistance to Support the Coordination and Monitoring of the Regional Programme for Sub-Saharan Africa
The key political and policy objectives are captured in the five partnerships proposed in the Joint Communication “Towards a comprehensive strategy with Africa” and also reflected in the Africa Protocol of the new EU / Africa-Caribbean-Pacific Partnership Agreement concluded in 2021. That is, broadly speaking, ‘inclusive, sustainable economic growth and development’, ‘human and social development’, ‘environment, natural resource management and climate change’, ‘peace and security’, ‘human rights, democracy and governance’ as well as ‘migration and mobility’.
The overall objective of this project was to support the coordination of the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the regional MIP for sub-Saharan Africa 2021-2027, including regional MIP-funded Team Europe Initiatives.
The specific objectives of this project were:
• Data collection, information gathering and analysis to monitor the state of play of the implementation of the regional MIP against its results framework.
• Support internal reporting on the progress of the regional MIP implementation against its results framework and key performance indicators and assist in the review of regional MIP documents.
• Provide support with consultation and outreach to key stakeholders linked to the implementation of the regional MIP.
ADE’s approach is to insist on advanced data collection tools and projection methods to ensure the correct information gathering, collection, and assistance.
