Assessment of the performance of the Office of the Auditor General against the requirements of the International Standards for Supreme Audit Institutions

The objective of this project was to assess the current capacity of the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) from the Kingdom of Swaziland to deliver its functions and mandate in line with the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs). In undertaking the assessment, the experts worked closely with the staff of the OAG. They prepared a report of the results providing a narrative assessment of the OAGs performance against ISSAIs best practice. They therefore worked with OAG Management to determine a sequenced and prioritized capacity development strategy aimed at addressing the report findings and improving the OAG’s future performance over time to the level expected of an established SAI as defined by the ISSAIs.
