PEFA Tanzania 2013

The Government of Tanzania is committed to applying PEFA as a means of monitoring improvements in Public Finance Management (PFM) in the country. On the 16th June 2012, it was decided to undertake a third PEFA exercise in 2013. The core purpose of PEFA consists of the analysis of indicators that cover the six essential dimensions of public financial management. The mission aimed at drafting a comprehensive “PFM-Performance report” prepared according to the PEFA methodology. This assessment had as objective to be used as a tool to enhance the effective utilization of the funds.
